Keeping Busy in Alderley Edge

The Merlin is surrounded by dramatic landscape, impressive views, and ancient copper mines. Alderly Edge is built upon a sandstone escarpment overlooking the Cheshire Plain, which is ideal for walkers. Explore the numerous picturesque routes and then pop into The Merlin for a well-earned re-fuel.

Quarry Bank Mill is also close by. One of the greatest industrial heritage sites in Britain, Quarry Bank Mill is one of the best-preserved textile mills of the industrial revolution. Today, you can explore the Mill and the Styal estate.

If you’re just a passing through, once you’ve sampled the tempting delights on our seasonal menu, you might be lucky enough to catch the monthly Alderley Edge Farmer’s market where you’ll be able to pick up some delicious fresh produce.
